The Bucktown Belt is the ultimate tribute to our Chicago roots. Named after the neighborhood we call home, this belt represents a completely local cycle of craftsmanship: the leather is tanned at the legendary Horween Tannery in Bucktown, and the belt is cut and stitched in our workshop just down the street.
The Leather: Horween Dublin We construct this belt from a single, robust layer of Horween Dublin. This is a premium full-grain leather renowned for its rugged natural beauty and intense character. The secret to Dublin’s durability is a tough wax application melted directly into the grain. This process not only makes the surface incredibly resilient to daily wear but also imparts a mild, sophisticated shine right out of the box. Over time, the waxes move and settle, allowing the belt to develop a deep, rich patina that is unique to you.
Refined Versatility At 1.25" wide, the Bucktown is the definition of a "daily driver." It strikes the perfect balance for a versatile hybrid style—rugged enough for raw denim, yet refined enough for chinos and a blazer. The tonal stitching blends seamlessly into the leather for a clean look, while the hand-beveled and waxed edges ensure the belt feels smooth and broken-in from the first wear.
